Magnaflow. Why? You have many choices, performance is nice (from what you can get) and tone. The tone is just awsome. Nice deep throaty (sp?) sound. Nothing sounds better than a boxer engine with a nice exhaust. You'll love it

WRX Stock backbox with custom 2.5" Piping looks natural and sounds mean as hell!
Readily available and pretty cheap.

i have 2.25" going into an arospeed muffler, dual 3" tips, it looks very nice, and sounds very sweet. im just getting a little tired of the constant volume. you are always noticed no matter what. cops dont like it much, but i've had it for a year and only gotten pulled over once. on the other hand teenagers love it. haha. its all personal prefrence. i loved it for about 6 months now its getting old and i think i want a wrx muffler.

i have that same set up. when i rev it, it sounds really nice except for the chirp cricket noise at the end. but regular driving...eh...its still not loud enough and doesnt make much difference in performence. but it sure doesnt get the attention from cops.

The cheapest place I found to buy Magnaflow mufflers was at www.a-1performance.com. The shipping on my muffler was $16, and the total price for my 14815 was $149. Here is the link with all the prices: http://www.a-1parts.com/performance_..._universal.cfm

You guys know that that link to a-1performance.com is a price list for Dynomax mufflers (not Magnaflow?).

Here's another vendor: http://www.exhaustproslinc.com/universals.html You'll probably want a tip welded on.

This is what I have on my car: http://www.thehitchshop.com/cart/cgi..._8and9oval.htm A quiet, straight-through muffler. Designed to last I guess.
Here's my review of it: http://www.subarureview.com/showreview.php?id=856

HAHAHAHA!! You get that too?? I was wondering if I was alone! I think it might just be the tips, acts like a whistle with the little holes at the bottom and the small chamber behind it.

They're Magnaflow, because I just bought one from them and it has the nice Magnaflow logo on the muffler. My receipt also had something about Dynomax on it, maybe they are brother companies, but I'm not sure. Nonetheless, A-1 performance does carry Magnaflow.

i'm leaning towards the #14843 Race series.

http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/m...eseriespg2.htm

looks alot like the N-1, but with a 2.25 inlet so it will fit just right.

The biggest glasspack you can find. They're everywhere, they're cheap, they're straight through, and the bigger it is, the deeper it sounds.

2.25" stainless from the cat back to a DynoMax UltraFlo (straight-through) w/ a 4" resonated tip (and yes, it's loud as hell...and I like it)

Who needs a horn? Just rev people out of your way.
