Talking My new house for next year (56K = teh suck)

This is my new place for school next year. Our 1 year lease started a week ago, so we've been slowly moving things in. It's brand new (still getting the finishing touches done) so we're all really stoked, and it's only like a 5 min walk to campus. And, so far 3 of the 6 houses on the cul-de-sac are all sorority girls . The rooms seem smaller than they are thanks to me being 6'6" and not being able to find a good angle to take the pics from.

Outside, at night (sorry bad lighting):

Fireplace room (better name?):

Living Room:

Kitchen :

Downstairs bedroom :

the rest:

Bathroom (connected to above bedroom):

It has the standard two sinks and mirror and whatnot, I'm just stoked on the huge tub and shower. All the girls that come over are all oh damn, we're so gonna come in there in bathing suits (ya right, we're gonna have a sign that says no clothes allowed ) and chill in there! haha

Huge closet for the same room:

Garage :

Upstairs chill room (open to downstairs):

More pics on page 2!
The rest of the pics are of the upstairs bedrooms, nothing to exciting. We had a mini-party last night, can't wait till the real ones start next year though And I finally geta garage for my car while at school, and somewhere to work on it! I'll try to get some better outside pics tomorrow.

I'll get a sq. ft number today...i totally forgot. We're renting this year, but if it works out, my parents might buy it next year and just hold onto it. I can't wait to start the parties over there

No furniture, but there are folding camp chairs and the Xbox is set up.

Those giant wooden spools for cables make good tables...

Default Nice place

WOW. Nice. When I was in college (UCSB) I alway preferred to rent a house instead of an apartment. With room-mates it actually worked out cheaper, plus you get a garage and all that stuff. But I never, ever, had a place that nice when I was in college. What is going to be your motivation to ever graduate???

SLO is great. You're gonna have a blast. Enjoy.

That's a really nice place you got there. I can envision the parties that place will have. And you sure a shell can't beat sorority chicks for neighbors.

Motivation = trust fund and graduate school Plus I think my parents are going to buy the house next year, so I can technically visit whenever I want but yes, it's gonna be cool

Possibly my age, but I wonder why on earth someone would rent a brand new dwelling to college students?

Bad idea.

um...money? we're paying a lot for it, so we're not gonna mess it up...all of the new houses on my cul-de-sac and on the street leading to it are occupied by college kids. they're 5 min from campus, so it's perfect.

Even if I were to believe you, it is a bad financial decision to put college students in a new house.

Generally college students are bad on houses. They like to throw parties and invite other college students. This is hard on a house, and is very hard on new finishes in said houses.

You are already throwing parties, enough said.

eh, i see your point, but at the same time, my parents are looking to buy the place next year, so we aren't going to trash it, and all the guys i'm living with are all really careful about keeping things nice, so i'm not worried about trashing it. parties are fine, as long as people don't get crazy. we already had a few drops of something (beer, soda, can't remember) spill, and we made sure we got all of it up and cleaned teh spot, even though you couldn't even see it...it'll be all good
