Exclamation HELP!! e-brake, ABS, Batt light on over 30mph??

I have an 02 rs with 45k on thte dial. I commute 200miles a day. On the way home yesterday as I accelerated my Ebrake, Batt, and ABS light all came on and remained on until I slowed down below 30mph reaching a toll booth. Up until that point i have had a few CELs all relating to misfires in cylinder 4. At the time all the lights came on.. the CEL was not on, and has not come on since. The only mods to the car is a Cobb CAI, and a 4awg grounding mod. Are my sensors just going wackey, and a simple ECU reset will fix it.. OR should I be concerned. Your timely suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Much TIA
Cheers,

Sounds like an issue with the charging system, ie alternator.

Which will most likely require the replacement of the battery as well.

sounds like your alternator is dead or your belt is super loose and just slipping on the pulley above a good engine speed. check your belts, if you can't find the source then i'd say you have a bad alternator.

it might be something w/ your grounding mod shorting out. Check those connections and make sure nothing came loose.

Ok more news. Actually when I accelerate past 1,000 rpm the ebrake and batt light go on. then once I hit the 2.75k rpm the ABS light comes on. I can hold the rpms and bounce the needle and watch the lights flicker. I forgot to mention above that I have a remote starter installed and wondered if that could have something to do with it? I checked the grounding mod and all looks well. Altenator doesnt seem to be running overtime either?

TIA

Cheers,

You had two people suggest the alternator, and not to sound arrogant, but I have a pretty good idea I know what I'm talking about, and from all the posts I've seen from Jeremy, he knows his shiat too.

So I would at the very least take your car down to your local autoparts store, have they check alternator and charging system. Most will do this for free. If it's your alternator.....get a new alternator, and problem is solved.

If not, you've proved both of us wrong, and we can try to think of other possibilities.

i appreciate your suggestion of checking the altenator. I am rather handy with a multimeter and have tested all grounds on the grounding mod and the altenator and stock battery. Next im going to check over the remote starter install. Any other ideas. the recharging system checks out fine..pulling 14.1 at the altenator and 13.9 at the batt.??

okay now did you check the charging system voltage as the car is revving up?? the lights are coming on cause the voltage is dropping, you alternator it shot or the nut on the charging post is loose/missing.

I just had the same thing happen to me. I needed a new alternator. A nice little Dynabatt went in with it.
