Default Results from SCCA auto-x yesterday at Nassau Collesium

What a great event yesterday!!! Talk about a fun and FAST course! The subbie drivers represented and us STi guys kicked some Evo tail. There were a total of 119 entries and SCCA and the workers did an awesome job. We were able to get 6 runs in with that amount of people. They deserve 5 bananas for a job well done!

Spencer did an awesome job running my car. He was only 2 seconds off of FTD on a totally stock car, with street tires!!!! Mark in his WRX was a tenth fast than Spencer. Way to go guys!!

yea it was a great time, I'm going to have to do my best to enter an event before the end of the season.

I could have sworn that spencer was going to make a mess of himself after his runs, the guy looked like he really enjoyed pushing the Sti.

Thumbs up

Came in 100th but I had a lot of fun! It was only my second auto-x but the course was very good especially the first section where you had to make choice on your approach.

Thanks to JD (SQC 22) for the slight nudge to run, the company and H2O.

Go STI's!!!

good times, good weather. those STi's are damn fast, looks like the extra displacement really pays off. I drove like poo, but I'm happy with my place in the standings.

bracelis: you always take the best pics! thanks for posting them.

spencer: awesome job.

wwweeeeee!!!!
thanks again mike for letting me partake in ur wonderful ride. definately a capable car and can do well in AS with a few more stock-legal tweeks. i couldnt believe how well 3rd pulled. i shifted to third gear goind down the hill toward 'sandy hook' and left it there and it pulled hard comming back up. i must say, the sti aint no wrx. feels like a differant car altogether, which it basically is. i had fun ....about the most fun i have had in a long time. if you have an sti and havent autocrossed it, i highly recommend it.

ps-mike, if ur gonna autox more often or maybe do some track days, its time to learn how to heal-toe downshift. ur pedals are in good position for it and ull save the clutch, mounts ect as well as it just being a smoother downshift.

I totally agree with you Spence... I've slowly began to learn to blip the throttle as I downshift, but by heel-toeing, I'd be able to do it all the time. I wish I could get 2 cameras mounted in the car, one for the drivers foot well, and the other out the front window, so I could study it. I'm still pretty green when it comes to shifting, but I think I did fairly well yesterday. So Spencer, uhhhh, are you going to be running your car again anytime soon, or are you going to need to borrow the STi again?

With you pulling so many G's, I was afraid that the "Oh Shizznit" handle was going to snap, so I held onto the top of the window there for support.

.90 only? Jeez. My SVX pulled .92 stock with all-season tires! With those nice sticky ones I bet it would pull .95!
