Which one would you say is the better bang for your buck? A Cobb Tuning Catback or a Prodrive Muffler? Will an intermediate pipe really change the tone/hp gains all that much?

This thread might be better off in Factory Forced Induction...
I am probably going to get the Prodrive as the only negative comments people have are "it's not loud all the time". But they both look pretty nice and I think the cost is about the same. (IBTM/IBTL?) -bd |

I've had both on my car...go with the Prodrive, unless you're planning mods that will necessitate the 3.0" diameter of the Cobb cat-back (strapping on a JATO where the turbo would be, stuff like that).

I bought the prodrive muffler when I did the Turbo XS stealthback. The exhaust looks great and is a tad louder than stock. I ended up going with a louder muffler, because the flat 4 makes such beautiful sounds...in the end, it's your call, but the prodrive exhaust is still sitting in my garage - not loud enough
![]() Edit: performance wise, I didn't notice a difference in 1/4 times between the prodrive and the wider exhaust, so you should be fine whichever way you decide to go |
