Sounds like a good design for low and mid range, but what about top end? Anyone?

Can't comment on the particulars of performance as I installed the APS uppipe, Invidia downpipe, and Greddy Evo all at once- combined they make a remarkable difference.
The APS uppipe is nicely constructed- though I do wish for a better finish on the flex pipe outlet. There were no instructions supplied with my uppipe and that would have helped greatly with the install. It comes complete with all mounting hardware. http://members.cox.net/lobelsteve2 I posted pictures as above. I'd get the APS or Autospeed with PDE flex after that. |

I installed an APS uppipe on my personal car this weekend and am REALLY happy with the final results. Very nice increase in power, no additional engine noise - I think the cast portion helps that out, no leaks. For anybody that thought that the two piece design would make the install easier - nope. We did two uppipes and a downpipe yesterday the other uppipe a single pipe Perrin, both went in about the same.
lobelsteve - I know what you mean about the finish of the outlet side of the flex pipe but I don't see any problems with it as air is flowing towards the turbo into the cast section. Sir_xenon - I noticed a nice increase on the top end. It feels like it flows so much better. Stock setup felt like the car wanted to give up after 4500 rpm, it pretty much pulls all the way to redline with the new uppipe. |
