Which part of it? One part begins off the 101 in Calabasas, and then quikly forks into the Mulholland highway which connects to the Malibu Canyon/Los Virgenes road.

Past that it runs into the Topanga Canyon road that leads through the hills to the Pac Coast highway.

It begins again somewhere else but i don't know much more.

Hey.

One easy way is to take Sunset East, and then once you reach Beverly Glen Dr. make a left. Follow it all the way up and then you'll eventually hit Mulholland at the very top of the hill. Great views up there.

If you're going north on the 405, get off at the Skirball Cultural Center, Mulholland drive is right there!

If you exit at Skirball and go east you have a windy road that has lots of really nice houses, is all right for driving if you enjoy being wedged between sport utility vehicles. If you run it over to the Hollywood freeway eventually you get to a 1 - 2 mile stretch w/o houses that you can probably hit at decent speed IF you are going in the middle of the night. It'd be a good place to dump a body if you had to do it w/i 2 min of Hollywood (not that... dang I'm new here I gotta watch it). All in all, the stretch of Mulholland from the 405 east to its end is a "tours of the star's homes" kinda place really.

BUT, if you go west young man its a whole different story. The houses get fewer and further between, and the traffic thins. Things really get nice as you go through the Topanga area, around Topanga Watch for cops on the weekends. Once you get a few miles west of Topanga the road really gets nice, the traffic is negligible (even on the weekends) and you start coming on more fantastic views. If you have time, head the 30 miles up to the canyons. They are some of the best roads (in my opinion) in So Cal. And you can just play and explore through them. Up one down another. From high relatively high speed stiff like Decker, to Yerba Buena's TIGHT twisties on rough pavement that makes you feel like your running a WRC tarmac stage. And you end up at the beach. Then you can go back up. 1 thing though, please watch out for motorcyclists, the roads are just as sweet for riding.

If you see someone on a red Hawk or in a Blue Wagon, wave.
