I have searched and can't find a DIY to hook up subs and amp using a RCA line converter...
I have been looking and am now confused because it looks like you can use the sub harness to make this work...please help. Anyone know of a link with pics of how and where to mount the converter. 2011 wrx stock premium audio, no nav

Thanks,

Thanks,
I have my converter under my drivers seat with my amp. I used speed wire to get up and back from the headunit with a breakout harness from ae64.com so I didn't have to hack any stock harnesses. I think he sells a harness for using the under seat sub location under the pass seat. Ask him.

Did you use the ae64 harness for power, ground, and control for the amp too? Did you need both harnesses?

amanMaphia has a 2002 WRX, so he needs the older 14-pin harnesses. But same idea. You can wire together a pair of "forward" and reverse harnesses, or get a combined harness.

The OEM sub harness is only present in cars where the sub was installed. But if you have it, yes, you can use that as a way to tap the front speaker outputs. It doesn't have anything you can use for the amp remote turn-on, through.
