Question Brake fluid ???

Greetings,

I posted this question on Yahoo! but received no reply.

I am planning on switching over to synthetic brake fluid and need to know the capacity of the braking system so that I can purchase it before hand. Also, there has been heated debate regarding switching to synthetics and developing fluid leaks (oil and ATF). Would this be much of a problem with synthetic brake fluid?

IIRC, there was some info on that in the manual?

kastle,

I looked through the omner's manual and while it addresses brake fluid I could not find a total capacity...maybe I missed it. I will look again.

Thanks for the reply.

I could be wrong about it, but I remembered something being in there. It could have been just the type to use.

Pski,

I tried to get ahold of my service manager(Big Al--takes good care of me and my SVX ) at my dealership but he had already left for the day. If by Monday you are still unsure of the capacity of the braking system I would be more than happy to give him a call or stop in and ask him I can also ask him about the possibility of leakage problems while I'm at it. He knows the SVX inside and out like Danny(bossco9999 or whatever).

Have a great weekend
B.C.

P.S. Sorry I didn't respond when you posted over at Yahoo. I never saw it.

Never2phat,

I looked at the owner's manual again...it does not state the brake fluid capacity of the SVX. If it isn't too much to ask...could you find out from Big Al? I could call too...but I feel lazy today.
