I have just finished my latest changes to my UTEC interface. I am posting this here as well as engine mangement because there is more traffic here.
Here are the features (All features require that logging be started using the <shift 1> log mode.): Automatic run logging: You set 3 data points for this option and it will automatically log your run. Minimum RPM: this is the point that you consider a run to start at. The default is 2000 RPM Crossover: this is the point that is used to determine that the current run should be logged. Default is 6000 Cut Off: this is the rpm that once reached after the crossover has been reached signals the end of a run. Default is 2000 Auto Knock logging If knock is detected it will automatically log the knock event. If you are currently in the middle of a run it will grab from the Minimum RPM (defined above) up until 5 log entries after the first knock event. If you are not in the middle of a run it will automatically save the 10 events before and 5 events after. Both of the automatic features save the logs to a file in the directory that the exe is in. As well as popping up the data in a window. If the file is a knock event it will start with 'Knock' if its a automatic run log it will start with 'Run'. Clicking the save log button will save it with 'Log'. The second part of the file name is a time stamp. Dashboard This feature has a graphical (it needs work still) representation of boost and RPMs. It displays the current values as well as the peek values for each item. Clicking on the peek value for any item will show you what all the other items values were at that point. The dashboard feature requires that you first start the logging by using the <shift 1> log mode. I enabled http on my server but I don't have a static ip. this link will only work until bellsouth decides to give me another ip. removed dead link new link to be up soon source available by request edit: by advice of legal counsel, I have changed the name

If you try it out please leave a comment good or bad. Also any ideas for other features are welcome.
I have already had 20+ downloads but not much feedback. BTW I am not doing this for free. While there is no cost to you this is enabling me to claim the utec and my upcoming track day (for testing) as business expenses. Maybe I can right off my other mods as well. Eventually I might try to sell it and if it doesn't sell then I can write down the development cost as a business loss. There is more incentive for a small business owner to loose money than make money. |

If you're using it for tax purposes or whatever you might want to name it something other than the name used for the Electromotive TEC engine management systems.

I think I may have screwed the comport setting in the previous version.
I changed the name from wintec to autologger and I think I f'd up the registry entries for the com port. If you downloaded it and got the one named AutoLogger.exe you may need to do the following. If you save this as autloger.reg and then doulble click it it should fix your problem. Make sure to adjust the comport if necessay. Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\AutoLogger\comPort] "Port"="COM2" "BaudRate"="19200" "StopBits"="1" "DataBits"="8" "Parity"="None" "FlowControl"="Hardware" |
