Talking 1/4 mile tonight!!

So wish me well fellow Legacy brethren!!!

This is at 6000' above sea level so the raw numbers will not be impressive. Bandimere Speedway, Morison CO - just west of Denver.

Last year I ran a best of 17.2 @ 80.5 - - yup, that elevation kills ya NHRA conversion = 15.9@86.5
That was with: homemade 3" intake (retains "torque box"), lightweight pulleys, Brullen catback, and suspension mods - that don't really help 1320 times....

Now I have added an MRT header/cat. I can REALLY tell a difference with the MRT rounding off the exhaust flow.

A couple little things too: removed airscoop backing plate, added a 2awg (badazz welding cable ) grounding wire to the body - and moved the existing one to the strut tower - not that it's much, but different than last year... and new Ecsta MX's.

so anyway, I'm hoping for a 16.8 @ 82 - - maybe a bit better

I'll let ya know tomorrow!

-Chad

Farfrumwork: May the force be with you!

What time is this happening? Maybe I will need to drive on down to Morrison to cheer you on!

thanks!

4:30 - 8:45

I am leaving work NOW... hope to get there just before 5.

unfortunately it cost like $8-10 just to watch - just a ripoff!! not to mention the $30 it cost for the test and Tune, but they have the only game in town sooooo

FWIW, mod'd GSR's run 16.5@84 - Type R's run 16.0 @ 86-87 - stock Impreza RS's run 17.5-17.7 @76-77 (so I'm doing good!)

I'll be back tomorrow with times

-Chad

Smile

so, I'm happy...

Note: it was around 80F and sunny, but with a low humidity.
And again, 6000 feet above sea level.

Best run

60'.....2.39
330'...6.98
1/8.....10.83
mph....63.60
1000'..14.15
1/4.....16.95
mph....80.4

NHRA conversion = 15.70 @86.5

I whipped a Vette (~ MY01-02) through the 60' mark on this one!!! - sweeet

compared to last year , (when it was also 15F cooler - BIG difference especially at altitude)

60'.....2.50
330'...7.21
1/8.....11.10
mph....63.64
1000'..14.46
1/4......17.27
mph....80.57

For everyday streetcar comparison, these ran lat night as well:

Mini Cooper S - 17.23 @ 84
Tiberon GT - 18.1 @77
02-03? VR6 GTI - 16.7 @ 82
V6 accord coupe - 17.1 @ 81
Focus ZX3 w/mods - 18.4 @ 74

Overalll ->

with a cooler day I could hit a 16.8 I think - and maybe 81-82. 80mph is running right to the rev limiter in 3rd at the end of the track - a shift to 4th gains me nothing yet, but maybe it would work on a cold day...?

hmmmmmmm, cams and some engine control or forced induction next I do like N/A power, but it falls on it's face compared to a 5-6psi turbo kit up here.

later,
Chad (sorry for rambling on)
