Greetings,
I know that arejay secretly loves the European spec yellow SVX so I will ask this question for him... Does someone have the paint code for this color scheme? My 1992 SVX LS-L (black mica) will need a paint job in the future and I would like to keep my options open? Also...does the yellow SVX have the black/grey interior? Your welcome...arejay! Pski

I thing we all know that Randy really does like the yellow color but that because he always proclaims that stock is best he is afraid to admit it
I have a feeling with this topic/post we're gonna be hearing AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH very soon ![]() As for the paint code number..... Sorry no clue ![]() As for the interior color: This is the only picture I have where you ca n see the inside and you still can not really tell. I would guess that it it is probably grey instead of tan though. Tan and yellow just don't seem like a good coupling. I could be wrong. B.C. |

Yellow/black SVX, with the roof, and trunklid black like on a pearl/black SVX.
Yummy ![]() My SVX will need a paintjob soon. How hard is it to get the panels and all painted? I guess the proper way to do it is remove them from the car, paint them, and then reattach them? |

Never2phat,
I never did like that particular yellow SVX...I think it is because the background looks fake. I have another picture of one in a garage that looks sharp...it's on my home computer and I am at work. I will try to post it tonight if I have time. If I were to paint my SVX yellow I think I would remove the mouse fur psuedosuede and replace it with yellow leather. I wonder if you could stitch "SVX" on the leather seats in yellow? Arejay...any comments? It would definitely stand out at the 2002 Subaru SVX meeting in Indianapolis. Pski |

Pski,
I know it's not the best pic. The shadow below the SVX is way over done. I think I know which pic you have at home. Does it have the rims on backwards? Removing the ecsaine and replacing it with colored leather would be extremely cool in my opinion. If not that.....I would like to paint out the pieces in the faux wood trim with a solid yellow color. I realise I would lose the lettering for the climate control but that is okay with me. I know what all of the buttons are for I think it would give it a custom look if done correctly. As for stiching 'SVX' into the leather..... Sounds like another good idea to me I personally would like to get black leather seats with yellow inserts. Can you tell I love yellow. While we're at it...might as well get yellow gauges from http://www.mmrusa.com?Merchant2/MMRUSA/gauge1.htm Click on 'Enter' and then 'Next'. The link for 'Gauges' will be on the left. I would get them with green lettering to keep them in sync with the other lights in the car. B.C. ![]() edit = addy boo boo [This message has been edited by Never2phat (edited November 13, 2000).] |

Ahhhhhh, Who cares what the neighbores think? My neighbores have major Subaru SVX envy. My neighbores to my left drive an old beat up Subaru GL Stationwagon. My other neighbores have a new Forester and a Legacy Stationwagon. I think that while they love their Subes they would rather have my SVX. They always make it a point to come out and talk to me and ask me questions about my SVX when I'm cleaning it. I think they're all jealous -- he he he

Greetings,
Can we compile a complete paint code listing for all known SVX color schemes? A list was posted on Yahoo! awhile back but apparently they were all wrong. I believe the code is listed inside the engine bay somewhere...? So...look under your hood...then list the code and your SVX model year and color. Pski BTW This forum has been fruitful since our wake-up call by the Imprezident. I now check this site before Yahoo! |

I'm only guessing that you knew my exact response) ![]() Oh, and as for being back . . . I never really left. I suppose that "smoking aspirin" may have had an affect on my ability to type. [This message has been edited by arejay (edited December 21, 2000).] |

Brian, congratulations. From your post of November 13th, I would like to say you're the first person I've ever known who would trade their SVX in for a driveable banana.
