SVX vs. RX-7
Summary of my experiences in playing with the 3rd-Gen RX-7 From 0-60: AWD launch stops me from getting too embarrassed off the line. If I can distract the RX-7 driver with my superb hole-shot, he'll have trouble hooking up and I'll be at 45mph before he manages to pass me. From 5-60: I get whipped. Not just beaten, but whipped like a red-headed step child. Whipped like Kunte-Kinte if he doesn't spin his tires. From 60-Max speed: The SVX accelerates about as fast as the RX-7, but the RX-7 starts accelerating harder, faster (I don't want to get into physics/calculus here). Once the SVX is accelerating it can accelerate as fast as the RX-7, although it does not start accelerating as quickly as the RX-7. Curves: My tires were new, the RX-7 in question had a set of mismatched M+S tires, so the fact that around cuves I have smoked an RX-7 like the rear tires on a Buick GN should be taken with a grain of salt.

CRZ_MSL,
Is the 3rd generation RX-7 the newest generation (ie twin turbo?) or is that the 4th generation? Pski |

3rd-Gen is the last version sold in the USA, looks like a squished jellybean. Sequential (twin) turbo, 1.3L rotary engine.
The current version closely resembles the 3rd gen., but is not sold in the USA. |

CRZ-MSL,
I think most cars would find it difficult to keep up with this car...on the other hand...have him come to North Dakota after a snow storm and I will embarrass him!! Pski |

or when it rains- the SVX launches better than most any car out there when the conditions get sloppy.
