Default (ot) should i buy it or not?

ok, im on a very limited budget, not making half what you nasioc'er make per year
i recently stumbled across a 93 legacy 2.2l turbo, its auto and has 180k miles on it, with a tiny bit of 1/4 panel rust...plus a driver side whole in the fender...but in great shape besides that.
hes asking $1800 for me only [its a friend] is it worth buying on my budget, or does anyone think itll be a money pit i cant afford?
Greatly appreciate everyones comments and input!
Thanks
Sam

Default 2bi or not 2bi

hi sam.....thats a loaded ? since there is allways something to do or improve or mod on these cars u should check all the usuals, trannie fluid, cv axles/boots,timing belt and oil seals....rust is just free decoration in vt. as u well know. most people never bother to clean out the front fenders and that rusts thru quickly with the amount of salt on our roads in the winter. the auto trannie is prone to problems with upshift but your friend should be able to tell u about when he had it serviced. a lot of good wrx parts will work on these legacys so its worth it to keep looking in this forum for inexpensive upgrades...go ahead u know u want it and its under 2k, just know u will be wanting to do 2k worth of upgrades to it before u can say more boost plz
