Default Just Got Back from Coldplay Live...

At the Hollywood Bowl (2nd of two nights).

I've never seen them before, but they're an incredible live band. They use lots of colors and smoke...surreal almost. Concert started at 7:30. They came on around 9-ish till 11.

They started to close with Yellow and Scientist, then went offstage.

They encored with Clocks and In My Place and another new song.

Great stuff.

cool times. I unfortunately had to see an abbreviated show by Coldplay. They were very entertaining. Great show.

I saw them a few months back and they are awesome live. I agree with the surreal comment.. all the smoke lights and the music itself lends to that...

i saw them a few months ago, definitly a great band live. really enjoyed the way the chris martin had the piano rocking during clocks and God put a smile on your face (among others).

only two things annoyed me, the fact that chris martin made smart ass quips against my president and all that world/free trade bunk.

did anyone else see them w/ the Music? they were pretty entertaining too!

xfactor, where were you sitting?

I some young guy and a woman that looked like his professor getting it on, was that you?

I enjoyed the show a lot. THe first opening band, Eisley, was really cool. I bought their EP and talked to them after their set.

I'm a guy. I called my home during a song (new song) and left a minute of it on my answer machine. I was with three woman. I also made a few smart arse comments before and during the show. With many on the way out. I was on the same row as the people who would not SIT DOWN.

what the hell is a "coldplay" anyways? Or is it just a nonsense name like Pink Floyd?

Accually, Pink Floyd comes from two old blues(or jazz, cant remember) artitsts, Pink Anderson, and Floyd Council(sp?) , that Syd Barret had records of, and just put together the names. The reason is that they were playing a gig, and there was another band with the same name as them that night, IIRC, the "Megadeaths", so, he just fused the two names together.
