Default cross-applicable struts and exhausts?

Just wondering if any other strut bars or catbacks out there will fit BD/BG Legacies? I saw someone say his Cobb catback for a 2.5RS would fit any other 2.5 engine, can someone verify that? Thanks!

Impreza catbacks would be too short for the Legacy and I don't think the hangers would line up either. You might be able to use the axle back portion and get a custom midpipe made up. Even catbacks made for the Legacy sedans are a few inches too short for the Legacy wagons.

It cost me, but it's worth it.... every time I drive the car, it puts a smile on my face!

Engine parts should swap for similar years.
Exhaust parts and suspension will probably not.
Question, why not just get Legacy parts?
BTW, I have the COBB cat back and I like it. Now if they would just finish the header.
And yes, the wagon vs sedan makes a difference for exhaust tip length.

Default cheaper 2nd hand

Well, most people don't bother advertising that their engine parts work on Legacies too... we're the forgotten Subarus, remember? That's why I wanted to check, so I can pick up a strut bar 2nd hand if one turns up. I mean, how would the performance of a used strut bar be poorer than a new one (barring some kind of bad auto accident)? It's not exactly a wear and tear item.
