Default RS-Ts what exhaust do you have?!

Did a search and don't have time to look thru 871 posts... anyway, just wanted to know what exhaust set up y'all are running with your kits... I was going to go with Forced Air Tech ($375, 2.5" mandroll bent) But they don't take credit card...

let me know, sound is not a huge issue, but the lower the sound the better... 2.5" of course is a must. Thanks!

Read subaru review and they say the greddy evo sounds nice... anyone have any experience with this? sound clips perhapse

i looked into getting a system here in town, just buying a muffler... and that'll run 150.00 for 3" plus the cost of the muffler...

i'm going to buy soon, so i'm just trying to get all my ducks in a row. Thanks again for the help!

2.5" of course is a must
Depends on how much boost. I have 2.5" turbo back to a 2.5" cat, then down to a 2.25" STI back box. Very quiet and boost with no waiting. 5psi at 2000rpm if I hold it and instant response whenever.

Yet with a smaller turbo, higher boost and 2.0L, a 2.5" straight through exhaust on the rally car was too restrictive. Had lousy boost reponse until we went to 3".

There are no hard-and-fast rules...

I've got a Ludespeed kit, so 2.25" stainless up and 2.5" catless stainless downpipe. Bolt up a resonatorless midpipe (2.25" I think) and a WRX muffler section with the flange and middle hanger modified. Setup is very quiet and I get very little attention to it, but it's SOOOOOO nice to drive versus most of the cars I've been in with exhausts... I'm not too big on loud for some reason, maybe I'm getting old. *shrug*

OTOH, my car makes a VERY unique sound when riding in it, almost a Porsche-like hollowness in the exhaust that you can tell there is power, but it's still quiet. The biggest giveaway in my car is the BOV noise... HKS SS with a small turbo = LOTS of noise on partial-throttle lift-off.

Brullen ss 2.5" dual tip here.
Pretty nice unit.
Got the quiet variety (it comes in 3 loudnesses) and its is indeed quiet. Loud pipes are cool for awhile but it gets old quick.

i don't want loud, and personally like the sound of the cobb tuning (on the wrx - from http://chrislehr.com/garage/WRX/sounds/)

i'm curious how similar it would sound on the RS... also they don't mention the diam... I'll call on monday and see...

Thanks for all the responses though...

2.5" Magnaflow, no resonator, too quiet for my tastes.

Currently I have the WRX back box on my NA RS. Within the next two weeks, It will be turbo..... so I will put on the new JIC DE Type 2. It is 80mm stainless piping with an oval Ti muffler. The sound on a catless WRX is quit rumbley, yet not too loud for the cops. Here's the fun part..... custom 90mm downpipe.

I am running a Blitz NUR-SPEC cat-back. Originally the exhaust was for a WRX, but it was re-bent to fit on my RS. I love it, very loud though. It will truly bring out the Boxer engine sounds in a very loud way.

I know I'm not turbo but can I play?

Borla headers
3 inch custom mandrel cat section
Greddy DD exhaust

Great flow but waaaaay too loud for daily driving. I made some custom mufflers that fit in the dual 3.25" tips (if you can call them tips... they are 18 inches long.) It's still kinda loud.
