Are there any issues with constantly cooling and heating the metal of an intercooler? I believe such things make metal brittle. Does this unit just run the whole time or does it just not freeze the metal, it looked frozen in the pic. I really like the idea, but it kind of looks like it freezes the metal.

I am having a little trouble figuring out from the pictures how you would install this (intercooler cooler) on a TMIC on a WRX. Have you or any of your customers installed this and if so how?

It sparys on the Intercooler, the reason it looks like the metal is cold is because the co2 goes through those and that item gets freezeing cold.
on a TMIC this item might require some modifiacation to clear the hood I am not sure yet cause we have not done it, maybe a 90 degree smaller fitting on the inlet to it to does not go and hit the hood.

That didn't really answer my question, I'm wondering about constant heating and cooling issues on the metal of a fairly expensive piece of equipment. i.e.- The Intercooler.
I live in an area where something like that system sounds really nice because of the heat we suffer with... like, near the tarmac, in excess of 108 after the sun goes down. |

$280 for the tank and lines, and wiring kit (does not include the fuel bar) coolers are sold seperate. $92.50 for just the fuel cooler core, and fittings.

Why is the sky blue? I'm sure that's how you feel with my questions by now. It's all in the quest of knowledge my friend. I live in an area that's like 10 feet from the sun in the summer and that unit really does sound good, but I need to know since I don't like spending money on broken things... i.e.-if my intercoolers breaks due to hardening. |

Neat to see somebody here selling their products. Once I get through with my other current cooling and temp management projects on my WRX, this is definitely something I'm looking forward to checking out more!

the bottles are 5 lbs (2.75 kg?) bottles. I've got them on sale for 145 right now for a spare bottle.
as far has how long it last it depends on usuer operation I would imagine it would last about the same amount of time as the nitrous sprayer.... Brad

well in paintball which uses CO2 some of the time it costs about 4 bucks for 20oz's. So it should cost about 16 bucks to fill. 20oz tanks in paintball last a good while but when using just liquid it runs fast. So i'd say you'd get 75 good uses out of a tank not including leak/pressure/temp expansion. I come to that number by figuring i get 800 shots out of a 20oz tank and this tank is 80oz's so 4 x 800 = 2400 and you'll use just about 2 times as much CO2 when in liquid form so 1200. Then a single paintball shot is about 1/4 sec of CO2. Average use of this liquid would be what? 4 seconds? So 16 times the amount used in a paintball gun. Take 1200 divide by 16 = 75 so with a 4 second burst you'd proabably get 75 uses.
If you've stayed with me this far.. it would be ~ 21cents per 4 second use. Ok i'm gonna go hide in a corner... ![]() |

Hello,
It will last for 90 seconds if you hold the button on. I know the guys at DEI very well cause there shop is right down the road from us. You have very nice prices, just don't whore the product out like a lot of vendors do. We also sell it and been holding our prices to keep the product with in a good profit margin. Thanks, Scott |

It is not price fixing when the manufacture of the product asks you to maintain a certain price. Like Sparco will not let you sell under list price on any of there products. All that does is keep it from turning in to an APC.
The are working on a sprayer for the WRX as we speak. Quote:

There will be no talk of price fixing in my thread, play nice guys! This is my thread...
I'm not 100% certain this will fit but I don't see why the heck not. From looking at the parts it looks like you would have either the selinoid sticking up into the scoop or you would need a 90 degree fitting to get the fitment right for R&D purposes the first person to call me and order this will get a SPECIAL deal.
