Secuirty/Remote Starter install in Boston area
Looking to get a Viper Remote start setup installed in an 04 Sti... got a quote for the Viper Responder setup from Rich's Cartunes ($1000+) and Xtreme Performance ($750+) in Framingham. Both speced the alarm at $500, the rest is labor.
Anyways looking for any other recommendations on installations shops anywhere around boston. I know Rich's does great work, but $1000+ is steep.
Any opinions on Sound in Motion in Allston or Creative Stereo in Natick....

we will see
I would be more then happy to install a alarm / starter of my choice for you for a bit less then what they will quote you, prob the clifford matrix 4 or the blackwidow bwfm4150, These are both 2way units the BW actually giving you more features. Now if you choose to add any additional parts, such as prox, glass break, backup battery these would all be additional, as far as pricing the Clifford will be approx $300 for product and $300 for install the Black widow will be about $260 and $300. (Note this would be side work not work performed by a Major company) Im a professional installer and mecp certified and have been installing for over 5 years, I know subaru's better then just about any tech when it comes to car audio and security being the proud owner of my 4th subaru. The only thing I will inform you of is that Rich"s will install a part that requires you to press a switch and pull ebrake 2 times to be able to use starter. I will only connect relay to bypass clutch saftey and ebrake switch, which means if ebrake is not up the starter will not work, but if you leave in gear and ebrake up the car will start and potential move, in all my years of experience with subies and starters none of them have moved more then six inches everytime they tried to start, witha 3 crank limit that is a potential 9 inches total. I have had remote starters in all my cars I have owned and never have had any probs but I always only pull ebrake never leave in gear. I always test car starter with car in gear to see what the potential move ment is. so if you ever forget you know how far to park from another object. I would be willing to do this install as early as this sunday at the Exeter subaru meet at N.E.D. just would need a little heads up so i may pick up parts.
Please let me know if this something you would like to do.
Hope to talk to you soon
I can pm you contact numbers if requested.
