Default What Tranny Can I Use???

I need to find out what kind of tranny case will bolt up to a 2.5 RS. Is the 5mt for the 2.5 the only one that will bolt up? I am going to be using the case (just the bell housing) to make a mounting plate to put my engine on the dyno at work. I need to know if the 2.2 or 1.8 tranny has the same bell housing with the same bolt pattern, so I can get this beast on the dyno. Also, does anyone know where I can find one?(cheap) Please help!!!!!

Pick any tranny that has bolted up to an EJ series motor and it will go right onto your engine. (That basically means anything from ~1990+). Flywheel and clutch will have to be matched to the tranny type though.

Best place to buy one cheap is to have a friend that just did a motor swap. Occasionly, there will be a dirty cheap tranny in the classifieds section by either vendors or private individuals.

Default Awesome....that was a big help

Actually, I don't need to worry about the tranny matching up as far as the internals go. I am just going to take a sawzall and cut the bell housing off just to use it as a mounting plate. Am I correct in assuming that it does not have a removable bell housing? That would be awesome if it did, but I kind of doubt it.
Thanks again for your help.

The tranny is one full case (well two halves split longitudinally).
