Post Taillight / taillamp mod

E-spec vehicles have seperate bulbs dedcated to brake lights. Snipping the RED wire turns your inboard tail lights into brake only lights. Instead of your inboard lights switching between bright and brightest, they will switch between off and brightest, IMHO a change more likely to get the attention of the person behind you.

Morning will tell if any warning lamps appear on the dash.

Morning came! No warning lights on the dash. I'm going to keep my tail lights this way.

Wow, thats a cool mod- do you have a spoiler with the third brake light??? I love the looks of an SVX at night, those tail lights are distinctive, as are the wide set headlights.

Thumbs up

At the Vermont meet, there were six of us barrelling down the interstate at night, single file. The sight of the "domino effect" of the brakelights coming on five SVXes in front of you is an AWESOME sight. The mod would've made it even that much more dramatic.

High mount center brake light is integrated into the trunk lid, not the spoiler.

Randy,

Being towards the back of the pack myself I couldn't agree with you more. The 'domino affect' was definetely very cool I also had myself a good laugh on how every time Eric almost got to the front of the pack by using the right lane he was cut off by slower moving traffic and ended up at the back again. He just couldn't get to the front no matter how hard he tried -- He he.

B.C.

"Slower moving traffic" ======> Hah, funny thought.....As fast as we were all going that was everyone else on the highway :eek

You are in an SVX, on a pretty straight highway, trying to outrun another SVX. I guess it comes down to who hates thier transmission the most?

Anyone have any tips on how to make the inboard lights flash with the turn signals?
