Talking SVX-T is back

Got the SVX-T back today. Still have a flat spot around 6000rpm's but the RRFPR will smooth that out.

The car is damn fast now. And because of that, I'm gonna need to get some new x-drilled rotors and carbon-fiber pads.

I'm hoping that Aaron and I can get the RRFPR installed Wednesday afternoon and get over to the track that night. If not, I'm going to try to go Saturday morning, if possible.

From what I have seen from the SVX-T, I think it will be a close race with my RS-T. I think the 1st 1/8 will be all me and the 2nd 1/8 we be all Kastle.

Hopefully I can get a big enough lead on him to hold him off at the end and retain fastest Subaru in AZ title...

I'm running around 4psi normal now and hope that once I install the RRFPR, to move up to 5psi.

I'm hoping to crack into the 13's, but I won't know until later this week I guess. Maybe Wednesday night if I can install the RRFPR or Saturday morning if not.

Do any of you guys have a video camera to record your 1/4 mile runs? No-one here is doing that and that would be awesome.

The next time I go to the track, Im hoping to record it so people can see what 13 second scoobies look like going down the track.

AaronB and I are planning on taping his RS-T against the SVX-T once the SVX-T is running correctly. Maybe tonight, if not next week.

Nice to hear that the SVX-T is back! Hope that the fueling issue is sorted out soon, don't want any blown pistons or such doing a quarter mile run. 13s, eh? Cool. How is the tranny holding up?

Well, the car is still crapping out. It looks like we are going to try testing a different ECU in the car.

Maybe then I can run a 1/4 mile.....

Just do what Shiv (Sport Compact Car magazine) did to the Project Impreza. He raised the fuel pressure, and then changed the fuel injector timing with an Apexi Fuel Controller I believe. With that setup and a turbo, he was able to get dyno verified 300hp from the STOCK 2.5RS engine with STOCK pistons (9.5or9.7to1 CR) and STOCK injectors. All he did to tune it was to install an Exhaust Gas Temperature gauge, and adjust the AFC to keep the EGT in safe range. With the two extra cylinders we should easily be able to get 300 hp, and maybe even get close to 400hp!!

So read up on the PROJECT IMPREZA (most of the info can probably be located here on the I-club), and get that SVX-T back on track! I believe Shiv also played with the timing, but that isn't necessary if you just want to get more fuel in to safely up the boost. Once you get things performing as much as possible like that, then you can squeeze even more power out of it by playing with the timing!

Good luck and have fun!

More likely than not, if the ECU doesn't work I'm pulling the plug on the project. I will use the vast amount of resources here and turbo my RS instead.
