Default Should I replace my broken tranny with another stocker or upgrade to Sti Gears?

Here is the situation...

I have a 2001 Forester which I turbochraged a bit over a year ago. I am making 232 pounds of torque at the wheels and I am amazed the stock tranny has lasted as long as it has, however a few weeks ago, second gear finally gave out on me.

So I am torn between 2 options. I either get another stock transmission for about $900 + installation or I get rallispec upgraded sti gears which will cost me about $2200 which includes installation.

Should I go for the stock forester tranny which is cheaper and I could probably get 2 for what the sti gears will cost, or should I shell out the extra money and get the sti gears?

Any thoughts? What do you think are the benefits in getting one or the other?

Thanks
