Talking WOO HOO! I got my $50 from SOA today

I just wanted to say thanks to the guy that pointed the deal out to me. I test drove the Forester and had the stealership fill out the form, sent it to SOA, and just today I get a check for $50!!!!!! Not a voucher coupon for $50 worth of merchandise, but an actually check.

sweet

mine should be arriving in the mail soon too.

edit: I test drove an outback H6 3.0 wagon with VDC. didn't seem as powerful as expected, however very smooth, quiet, and luxurious.

Is this deal still on? Spill the beans, I have many places $50 could go to use.

I wonder if SOA will send me money since the wife "test drives" her's every day?

The forester felt ok, I loved the Sunroof and a half though. That was real cool. Now that the turbo Forester is out. I'd buy one if I needed the space. Bob, I don't think it's going on anymore. cuz the voucher said the promotion expired on the 6th of last month or something like that. I just sent it in under the wire. sorry. I know Mitsubishi is doing a $100 test drive offer now. I heard it on the radio. so hurry and inquire.

Damn it, mits requires that you actually buy or lease another make w/in 21 days of your test drive to get the $100

After completing the test drive of an Eligible Vehicle, Eligible Participants will be required to purchase or lease a Competitive Make Vehicle within 21 days of the date of the test drive and have the competitive make dealer complete the required information on the Challenge Certificate. This offer does not apply to Competitive Make Vehicles purchased or leased prior to June 4, 2003 or prior to taking a verified test drive of an Eligible Vehicle.

The guy at Springfield - Jose Hernandez, the guy who sent me that hilarious email about how the STi was the hottest thing on the block and kicked the ish out of the Evo - wouldn't let me test drive an 03 WRX. He said the mileage was too high already. So I showed him the form and he just signed it.

Hope the check gets here soon, that would cover the Kartboy stuff I picked up in San Diego. (Unrelated note, tom@kartboy is as cool in person as he seems online)

Since I have a deposit on my STi now, and will take delivery in a few weeks, I have been wondering if I can slide over to a Mitsu dealership and cause some trouble. Maybe test drive a Celica, tell them why an STi is so much better than the Evo, then show up with my STi when I give the documentation that I purchaced a car within the amount of time.
