Can anybody recommend which track would be best for a n00b? Z? Paisan? Angelina Joe Lee?
And will AZP be heading to all of these? |

Z will be heading to the Glen and LRP, I'm not so sure about Pocono cause I've heard mixed reviews about it. P will most likely be going to these events too.
I would have to say that LRP would be a better first track to go to since it is only a 1.5 mile course with about 7 turns which can be learned quite quickly and then you can start having fun. G, now that you are one of those M3 a$$holes you should also check out the BMW CCA cause they have tons of events that run all around this area as well as further away like Summit Point etc.Z |

Team IAC will be hitting these events + some BMWCCA Events as well. LRP is a good starter track, but i wouldn't wait til Nov to get started!

Would a 98 Legacy GT auto be okay for the event at pocono? I'm REALLY interested in doing one of these, but don't want to get myself killed because of a lack of horsepower or whatnot. I'm also mainly thinking Pocono just because it is the cheapest and I don't have a job at the moment either.

Stu-
Any car is good for doing HPDE's in. It really doesn't matter how fast the car goes on in a straight line but how fast you can take the corners. When we first ran with BMW we were all worried but we soon realized after our first session that these guys couldn't drive and we were running circles around them in our Subarus Z |

Okay, cool! I'm gonna sign up for the event on July 18th at Pocono then, I've got the mazda rev it up autocross on sunday so maybe that will prepare me for it.
One other question, should I bring extra brake pads? I've never sorta changed my own, so I'd have to learn before I went, but don't want to run out of brake's during the day! |

That wouldn't be a bad idea. You should also flush your brake lines and fill them with all new fresh brake fluid. It's always a good idea to have fresh or well blead brakes before a HPDE as well as a spare set of front pads.

Guess I'll hav eto learn how to bleed my brakes too then!
EDIT Probably not the last question, but are either of the courses shown on the site going to be used? I'd like to have an idea what the course should be like before I enter it. http://www.na-motorsports.com/Tracks....html#TrackMap Last edited by StuBeck; 06-19-2003 at 11:08 AM. |

OK - We will be on Pocono's South Course. This might be the best event to go to as a newbie as I am predicting a ton of track time on a safe track.
