Are you getting the car aligned tommorow? Or do you have a camber Gauge? If you have a Gauge would you mind bringing it with you tommorow?

hey chris,
no, i don't have a gauge. If I could get ahold of some bolts, I was going to install coilovers and a couple other items this afternoon, and get an alignment tomorrow. I don't think that's happening, though.

Yeah I'm kind of in the same boat. Finally got my springs and struts on late last night, but I don't think I will have time to get it aligned before this weekend. Oh well at least im not autoxing on blown rear struts anymore

you should just go to the local merchants or something and make them do exactly what you want. You can even stand in the garage with them when they're doing it, but they make you wear some blurry safety goggles.

The car is already set up at -1 degree in the rear, how much more do you want to have out of it? The camber bolt is pretty simple thing, it's just a slider slot that you need to make the adjustments.

btw, do you get any rubbing on your 17"x8" enkeis? just wondering. It's best off to have the front camber plates and deal with those first. That reminds me, i need to soften the front struts. I take it that you are racing the National Autocross this weekend? I might miss the July 6th one as well since I will be at summit point for hyperfest.

Hey keefe,
I get no rubbing with my 17x8 wheels/ 245/40 tires, but I did have to roll the rear fenders just a little. The front was no problem, I think there might even be a little more room up there .
I'm not trying to make a slot in the rear, just get some eccentric bolts to make the rear adjustable the same way the front is adjustable. I don't know if you took your suspension apart, but...Rear camber bolts replace the upper of the two lower bolts that attach the struts to the lower suspension components (The two bolts that are almost impossible to remove without a 3 ft. breaker bar). Without those or adjustable rear top hats, there's no way to adjust rear camber. You're right, I don't need more rear camber, I actually want less. With the 1" my car is currently dropped, the rear camber is fixed at -1.5 degrees. I'd like it closer to -1 or maybe even -.75. I was just wondering if anyone local has these:

or

http://www.ingallseng.com/parts/3542.htm

But it's too late, now, I'm just going to order them.

Thanks to those who replied.

Its probably best that you aren't getting the bolts before tommorow. Rear camber bolts are illegal in STX. The camber plates are legal, but not the bolts, supposedly the bolts will be legal soon. I'm sure no one will care at a local autox, but you never know about national tour.
