Default Turbo Question

Hey guys, im not sure if im even in the correct forum for this. but here it goes. Anyway heres my question a budy of mine owns a 2000 Legacy Limited with the 2.5l motor as all of you knew im sure. But he found himself a 1991 Legacy Turbo 2.2 and he was told that he could convert his car into a turbo using the stock compents off the 2.2 Turbo, but he could only run it at about 4psi, the only thing that he said he might have to change was a sensor.. didnt say which one though.. but mentioned that he would need it from a WRX ? i think this seems fishy to me. and if its possible can i do it to MY99 RS cuz if so im doin some junkyard searchin.. thanks guys.. peace

OK, here, i will help you a bit.

For aftermarket forced induction you will need the following:

1. Turbo, Up Piping, Down Piping, Intake Piping, Intercooler.
2. Fuel Managment. To correct the fuel maps of the NA ECU. Apexi SAFC's, Link ECU, Greddy ECU's.. these work well.
3. Missing Link (check valves that trick the Maf sensor).
4. Upgraded Fuel flow, Fuel Injectors, Fuel Pump, maybe FPR?
5. Up/Down pipe routing technique...

... here is the catch. You can use stock WRX up and down pipes if you replace ur crossmember w/ a WRX one (or what we call the Turbo Xmember). If you dont want to dig this deep, you get custom up/down pipes made. as seen here www.uniquemotorsports.com

at any rate, this is not an easy task. All of use tell you to use the search because your question is the basis for this ENTIRE forum.
