Exclamation Prodrive Power Pack, stage 3

Hey everyone,

I just got the Prodrive Power Pack stage 3 and it is really, really nice. It pulls all the way to redline with no problem and the power increase is def. noticable. I am really happy with it. I also installed the TurboXS RFL muffler which is really great, loud but great.

On the down sidel; I got a CEL. After about 20 mins of driving I got the CEL and I have no idea why. If someone can help I'd be greatful. Otherwise it was worth it.

Unhappy A CEL?!

Stage three includes intercooler piping, rear muffler, catless center section, catless up-pipe, sports cat down-pipe and ECU reflash.
I'd guess that it has something to do with two cats being gone, but that's just a guess. One would think that Prodrive would have flashed the ECU to ignore the lower exhaust temps, though.

When you get the code read, please let us know what it was.

Ok, I found out what it is going on. Prodrive said that they are running into some CELs and that is caused by the fact that there are a few different ECUs variations on the 2002-2003 WRXs. So the re-flash that they have only takes care of the CEL on that certian ECU type, which I most likely don't have. But I am going to have the car checked out just in case its something else. But Prodrive said that they would try to fix it, if they can't then I have something else that can fix it. Otherwise I am very happy with the upgrade. Power is what I want it to be and I would recomend it to anyone that is in the market for this type of upgrade. As to the reliability, it is Prodrive and Prodrive versions of the WRX and STi are sold form the dealers in the U.K. so I would think that their parts are top-notch, and it is Prodrive, they do make the rally cars for Subaru, not to mention the Ferrari Le Mans car. I'll keep posting as the situation develops, hopefuly it will all be taken care of.

What month/year is your car? When did you purchase it, and when was it made?

*Stuff deleted 'cause my comments were a year out of date *

As to the CEL... that's weird, which CEL is it? I'd expect it to be P0420 - cat inefficiency which they should be able to get rid of through the ECUTek software they use (I have a Vishnu Stage 1 which is essentially the same upgrades as the PPP3 - and no CELs - but then again maybe I'm just lucky).

Actually Prodrive Ferrari won GTS handily. They would have finished 1-2 but the second car had a wheel bearing failure in the morning.

My car was purchased in June of 2002. It is a 2002 and I dont know when it was made but I'm thinking Feb. of 2002.

SimonD, u r from Framingham? Do you know anyone that goes to Saint Anselm College, alot of people from Mass. go there.

I am going down the the dealer where I had the work done on Friday and we'll see what happens.
