Default Couple of questions about the stock oil pressure sender...

1. Does anything else besides the oil pressure light in the instrument cluster run off it?

2. Is there a buzzer that goes off when it comes on and the engine is running?

Basiclly, I want to run an oil pressure gauge, and get rid of the factory sender. Just need to know those two things.

Thanks.

I thought at low oil pressure the oil pressure lighgt came on ? thats what happened to me on my MY99 RS. the oil was low so the light came on.. or am I misatajen? I guess the light comes on for low oil level? and not presure? so then the oil pressure light or check engine light goes on for high oil presure??

right...
the sensor will close (make a circuit) at low pressure.. but it is normaly open (no circuit) .. this is why it is such a piece of junk. if it failed it would never close and you would have NO idea that something was wrong
