Default Custom Uppipe and down pipes

Why doesn't someone make a full mandrel bent stainless up and down pipe that fits the IHI or the garret turbos. Then RS guys would be able to bolt on what ever they pleased? Kind of like the bolt on upgrades the rex has? I would buy them. A 3" smooth downpipe would be nice. Then we could put any turbo that we want on. Am I missing something? I realize you not bolt any on there maybe just popular ones. Anyone know what shiv's kits come with turbo specs?

check out http://www.uniquemotorsports.com thats subachad's web site...im pretty sure that it says that he will weld on a different flange to the up-pipe that you order.

Hi guys, thanks for the replies. I can't really just weld on another flange because the turbo itself might not fit. For me to make a set of pipes for another turbo other than the TD04L and bolt on replacements, I need to borrow the turbo.

There's also the fact that until I get into another place, I don't have the workspace to produce the parts.

That said, I will be making pipes next week and am currently taking orders. Pipes sold will be on a first come first serve basis. Please refer to the site mentioned above for more info or drop me an email.

Thanks,
Chad

big bump for Chad's flanges!! and a quick question: I've got an ancient VF10 from a Loyale and am using your "universal" IHI UP flange and your 4 bolt DO flange... what on earth do I have as bolt on options? TD05 from an early STi? Other? Anyone know?

You can use any WRX upgrade turbo if you change the DP flange. Otherwise, I really don't know what upgraded turbo works with that 4bolt DP flange.

That's the kicker, w/ the 4 bolt flange I know there's got to be something out there that won't require me rewelding... its just a matter of finding what that something is.

subyrs555 - You won't lose your cruise control if you just relocate it somewhere else in the engine bay. Relatively easy. You also certainly won't lose your A/C. It'll make more sense once you bolt it all up.

BOY - A turbo from an early 90s Legacy Turbo should be a bit larger IIRC. It uses the same bolt pattern. VF11 or 12 or something to that effect.

cpu77 - I'm working on designing some up/downpipes that I would like to produce. A garrett set, a DSM TD-05 compatible set, and of course a WRX TD-04/IHI compatible set that let you bolt the turbo on and use a Stock WRX intercooler with no fancy pipe-work. Should have my first prototype set made in the next few weeks...I hope.

Brad, not worth it. The VF11 is also too small for the EJ25 and the swap just wouldn't be worth it.

I didn't say it would be a good swap, just that it should fit. lol.
