I'll definitely need help, since A. I've never worked on much less ridden a motorcycle. and B. There's many many man hours to do on this and I'd like to see it running by the end of summer.

I was told to leave the racing frame on the bike as it's way cooler looking than the street frame (the one on the floor). Granted I'll have to find a way to mount some lights and mirrors on it.

Is is set up as a dead loss ignition on the race motor??? If not, then you should be able to hook up lights.

Thumbs up

nice bike! you should race it go do some flat trackin.

On motorcycles you have to counter steer once you get up to I think it's 20 or 30mph. Because of the gyroscope effect of the front wheel, if you turn the handlebars to the right you'll go left. So at 30 and above to go left you press on the left bar and to go right your press on the right bar.

I just dont want to see ya wreck it on it's first day out. Kudos on the bike, if i lived closer to ya i'd offer to help turn some wrenches.

Oh, how's the compression of the motor Eric??? Will it turn over or are the pistons frozen???

Maybe I'll come up there on Sunday and check it out.

Call me this weekend.

Heh, calling. That requires a phone. Mine died while removing this from the shed and it isn't coming back. I'm going to try and get it fixed today though.

As far as turning it over, well, I haven't tried as it's been non moving for at least 17 years. Plus, quite a few insects and rodents have taken up residence within portions of the bike over the years. Not real keen on sucking a dead mouse and or nutshell into the engine.
