Thumbs down Out of control chatter

Well at 48k the chatter has gone from a minor anoyance when the car is cold to a dissapointing issue. It does it all the time now. The clutch doesn't slip, and never has. I'm wandering if a new clutch is in order or if the fly wheel may need to be resurfaced. I don't want to put out money into my car any more as I am saving for the next model. Any suggestions? I doubt this is covered under warranty. sorry about the spelling.

Get thee to the dealer and have them replace your defective clutch/pressure plate/throw-out bearing/pilot bearing under the 03-51-02R TSB. Check this NASIOC Clutch Shudder Link for more info.

nitrohuffer,

I'm starting to catalogue these "clutch" issues so any feedback you can provide on your car would be helpful. Thanks and keep us appraised of your progress getting this fixed under the TSB or the 5/60 Subaru PW both of which should cover you nicely. The other good thing is if you bought this car new from the dealership, they should provide you with a rental at no charge to you while you get your car fixed.
