Default Is there something wrong with my transmission?

I'm not really sure if this is normal as I am a new manual driver...but in 2nd and 3rd gear...i press the acceleration and say I let the accelerator go...as in I stop putting my foot on the gas... instead of slowing down smoothly...it feels like a slow down with a couple of uneasy pseudo jerkiness like my gear is not fully locked....I can't really describe except that its not as smooth driving as if i am say driving another car. This "pseudo jerkiness" does not really occur in 4th or 5th and I use my 2nd and 3rd the most.

Is there a problem with my transmission, gears? whatnot?

nothing wrong with your car. since on your previous AT cars you had a slipping torque converter your gas pedal foot did not have to be as sensitive. on a manual car there is no slip while the clutch is fully engaged, so any movement on the gas will directly
impact the movement of your car.

you will need to practice rolling off your gas pedal with minute
movements. its kinda hard to get use to at first but in no time
you'll get good at it.

try that in first and you'll get whiplash

that's just how he described it, manuals are a different animal than autos. you'll get used to it.
