Can someone Tivo or tape this and digitize it? I can host it if need be.

thanks for reminder, I would have missed it

Did anyone else thought that this one-hour show was better than two-hour show that we get with WRC. I mean comentary, MUCH better incar shots, etc. Interview look like they have been shot with an amature equipment, but I think overall they put together a pretty good show.

I saw myself on tv a few times. One was at the start of the rally, then behind Tim O neill, and finally on stage 7, I was sitting up front behind the tape.

I hope I can get to Maine this year.

The coverage was great. I didn't care for the color commentary, but everything else was very good. Best SCCA coverage yet. Damn bad clutches. That event looks like a blast I keep saying I'm going to make it up there some year.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I missed it.....I was there for the real thing though. Even with the strict spectator rules it was still a blast.

hmmm milner's car didnt look like it was on fire to me

sorry.. not gonna get started on that whole mess

footage was okay at best...
gets old w/the same 3 cars over and over and over again.

oh and the commentary makes me laugh...
but it's good for non-rally types... nice to see speed
making an effort to educate...

But who wasn't glad to see a Hyundai back out there? Can't wait to see 'em up in Maine also!

Nice shot of the stop sign being taken out at the end of the show. I'm always very impressed with the way O'neil and Higgins present themselves when being intreviewed. Higgins even thanked the fans for not causing any problems that would have canceled stages. I think the qoute was "It is as much their sport as it is ours." It was really nice to hear him say that.

Speed's coverage is OK, but if they spent more time covering the other classes and showing more camera angles...much improvment could be made. After all, one of the great things about SCCA rallies is the field diversity. It would be nice to see that aspect in the show.

in the USA? hmmm it's okay.
at least we have 10-12 cars to look at rather than 3

overseas? there's a lot more footage.
the GroupN and super 1600 classes get their own coverage...
everyone seems to be represented in some way.

USA/Speed can't compare....

ok, yeah I am talking about SPEED coveage, the only one that we are currently getting. I am pretty sure that they were showing more than 3 cars, and remember that 2 factory Subarus retired early.

dont get so sensitive

there are typically 60+ cars in a USA Pro Rally.
the only ones covered....

are the manufacturers.

we're all entitled to our opinions...
i personally think it gets old after a while.

those that know nothing about the sport of rally - will learn the following from one of SPEED's SCCA broadcasts:

1 - there are 2 classes in SCCA Rally... Open and Group N
2 - there are 2 different kinds of cars used in SCCA Pro Rally - Subaru and Mitsubishi

erm... yeah... that's good journalism for ya way to cover all angles eh? but that's the way it goes when you have the big bucks....

dont mind me...
i'm just a privateer and i dont pay the bills for SPEED coverage...
i'm just venting/ranting/rambling on....

sometimes i do that

You can read the same complaints about the WRC coverage on other boards- only cover the top three, not JWRC, or other classes, etc.

Channel 4 viewers in the UK are especially jaded about the WRC Coverage.

I bet if the Sube's did a little better we'd have more smiley faces than we could count!

You guys are right, they should stop covering the top 3 drivers of the rally, and instead focus the entire hour to the life story of a randomly chosen fan who happens to be attending.

I agree the coverage was good, I was pointing out to the gal that the WRC coverage is not looked upon as the holy grail of rally coverage in the rest of the world. And that the UK rally fans complain about the WRC coverage the same way people here bitch about the SCCA coverage.
