Default ? Regarding Replica STI Grill & badges

OK, the UPS man dropped off my replica STI grill I can't wait to get it painted! Everything is going to the paint shop Tuesday.

Now I want to purchase the badges for the grill mesh. The Blue I badge and the STI badge.

Here are my ?s
1. Where to purchase?
2. Is there a difference in size between the STI grill and trunk badge? If so, what should I look for to ensure that I get the grill badge?
3. Are there different sizes of I badges? If so, what sould I look for to get the correct size for the grill?

Thnx in advance. Since this is a Subaru board and the STI just came out, anytime you use "STI" in search you get too many hits. I've search for about 30 min. before resorting to write this.

Come on. You should not even put on STi badges unless your car is the Sti model.

STi Grill and trunk badges DO differ

Grill badge has prongs on the back of it that go THROUGH the grill.. you secure it with clips/fasteners. Some vendors have been selling them without the hardware... thus there's no way to secure the badge!

The Trunk badge is held on with tacky tape.

Our prices - Front Grill STi badge:
no hardware - $13
with hardware to install - $20

rear badge - $17.00

"I" badges do come in different sizes.
We have one Blue I badge left in stock - $39

let me know if i can help...
regardless, i hope this answers your questions.

How hard is it to take the STi emblem off the grill? Will it leave marks or show signs of fade?

It wont leave marks or show fade, but it's actually not easy to take it off (I have a real STi grill).

There are basically two ring-like things on prongs that you have to sit there and slowly pry off with a pair of pliers. It took me a surprisingly long amount of time (15 minutes) for a small bit of plastic. I wanted to keep it intact though, never know when I'll need a pink STi logo for a pimp necklace or something.

And I agree with the not-having-sti-emblems-on-a-non-sti sentiment. But that's just me.

Hmmm...something to ponder about then. I have the real STi grill also. I've been wanting to take off the emblem, but I guess I'll save it for a rainy day when I feel that there's enough patience inside me to do the job carefully

i wasn't saying that you should leave the STI badge off, i was saying leave it on. it's just more stylish on stuff like grills and foglight covers.

IMO, it would look too plain without the STI logo on there.
