Default need a new windshield...

i was driving back home from davis when a HUGE rock hit my windshield and left a 1/2" spider on my window. on the way home that 1/2" spider became a 10" CRACK. now, 1 day later it has become 2 more cracks reaching in 3 directions that are each abouyt 10" long!!! i need to get a new windshield, how much will it cost?!

any input would help..

Windshields are about 220 bucks installed in the Bay area. Find one that is repuatable as the installation is critical. I had my second windshield installed and the first windshield installers did not use the correct sealant which goes along the edge. As a result there was rust slowly collecting underneath the first rubber seal. ABC glass in Sac did the correct second job. I forget the name of the other glass company/installers who did the improper job in sac.

they actually might be more money.
i had my windsheild done...and the thins with subaru windsheids is they have a one piece modling around the outside.
this molding itself is lamost 100 dollars.
what i did was call cascade auto glass.
we used my insurance...for comprehensive damage. and it worked out fine.
my dedutible is only 100 bucks...as is most companies.

i suggest you use ur insurance as well.

not to hijack, but does anybody know if you can get your windshield fixed if you just have two little dings? hopefully they don't turn into full on spiders, but only time will tell.

Steppin, I went to autozone and bought a windshield repair kit, Worked like they said, only 15 bucks or so. Just follow the directions very carefully. Took me about 45 minutes to fix.
