Default Aftermarket parts

Mike,

You might want to check out aftermarket vendors from Japan. Go to www.teiwa.co.jp

I got my front grille for my 2002 OBW from them. Good service and fast delivery. One word of warning though. Those parts plus S&H are expensive.

Good luck.

I have this weird feeling that front end is a dealer option/limited edition type thing. In the days I used to surf through all the JDM sites I have seen that bumper alot. If you can find other pics (search for "JDM attack" in this forum, and when you find it reply to it so it gets bumped up) That bumpers fit and finish always looked perfect, plus the fact it retains those cool stock projecter fog lamps/turming lights.

I suppsoe its possible its oem, but there are several aftermarket companies that make grilles very similar to that. I also am pretty sure I have heard the name of the company that makes that bumper assembly, but its eluding me today. monovich would probably know.

Here's a pic of a very similar grille(the bumper is close too, but no cigar):

i believe the kit that legacy2003 posted is by Hipposleek, or at least it looks like their type of design, the bumper does anyway. looks good either way

i could not find a hipposleek for bd but they make one for the bg wagon, but i know that the only difference really is the rear end. i thought the bumper there looked somewhat oem, but at least not from anywhere around here. subysouth, yes what is that front end there? what kind is it? i wanted something like that, and it looks pretty close to what i want. is that your car? and does anyone know what wing that is?

As near as I can tell its made by a Japanese company called Profine. Its FRP bumper of their own design and construction apparently.

Nope, I wish that was my car. The problem with mounting JDM parts on the USDM BD/Gs is that the bumper beam and reinforcing foam and grille opening height are different. So for a straight "bolt-on" upgrade you have to replace a lot of the front end parts. And shipping of large items like bumpers from Japan is harsh from what I understand.

The Hippo Sleek kit PHATsuby mentioned above, which is what I was trying to think of too. I think thats the one in the first pic:

In the oem line, here is an RFRB(FHI in-house aftermarket parts) bumper cover for the BD/G:

And here's the BG GT-B stock front bumpr that accepts the projector fogs:

I've got the grille in the second pic on the way from Japan. I had one fitted for my car in the past, but it got stolen by a scam artist / vendor.
