Why should you be ashamed to drive an auto, they are far stronger than the subie manual tranny, how many threads do you see about problematic autos...
Personally I think the manual transmission is on its way out and will be replaced by electronically shifted dogbox style tranny like the enzo.
Iím not saying the 4EAT is the bomb but its tough, reliable and still has 4 very usable gears

bcuz not so many ppl buy auto subies. im not saying manual is the best but..its just hard to control the up shift n downshift..(gas pedal) n u dont need it sometimes..but its reliable n much cheaper on gas than manual ...

Also it's not very popular so not many have broken them.
But auto trannies are severely handicapped when you need total throttle control and acceleration. Coupled with boost lag and gearing... it's quite a bit slower than a manual.

thought it's time to update the pictures after the crash...
the shop DID NOT do a good job on repairing it (have some minor problems) and the car is gonna go back to the shop after the mission track day...

anyhow, here's how it looks now~

car will be droped w/ Tein S-tech and i probably will paint the stock wheels to gold (still deciding on this, wut do u guys think?)

EDIT: BTW, i want those 22B style bumpers badly, anybody know where can i get a replica 22B bumper that fits the GC body? (the non-widen fender version). I've seen GC wagons in jp using the 22B bumper. and RC said a friend of him have that bumper too (it's a silver GC). so if anybody knows anything abt the bumper plz let me know.

THX

Kevin, U'd want the "STi Sports Bumper," that's the 22B-looking one that fits our fenders. RC's friend is prolly Devo-2nd Gen, he drives a Silver GC Sedan. The bumper is definitely unique lookin. Someone in the Toronto Club has it on his Silver too.

I would be using the real STi sports bumper right now if I didn't already do a full V6 front conversion. $1068 USD is pretty reasonable in my opinion.

1068 USD = 1416 CAN
+ 205.32 GST/PST
+ probably 300 shipping
+ 70 Brokerage

= 2000 Canadian before paint and install. I'm not sure which rebar you need for this bumper. I would have to call up Dave at Rallispec to confirm if I do decide to buy it

Heh no matter what you do to your car, someone will eventually look the same. Unless you buy some super expensive rims that no one else are crazy enough to buy

But modding your own car is so much fun. I love the way my car looks and the way she handles but I will have to do something about the power.....
