Default front right fender well fellout

Well i was driving along on saturday and the next thing i know i here a noise and it feels like a tire went out. So i pull over and have my friend check the pass. side and no flat tire nothing you can really see. So we pull into some guys driveway and check it out and the plastic inside the fender well i guess kinda fell out and it was rubbing up against the tire that is what was causing the feel like a flat tire.

So i had somewhere to be and no tools and most of the little screw holes looked to be streched so i just ripped it out.

Now my question should put it back in or maybe order a new one or leave it out? I have removed my snorkel for my intake and the only worry is having water getting in there.

thanx in advance,

jeremy

Dont leave it out, dirt will acumulate in places it shouldnt along with moisture. It can cause electrical problems and rust.

Did the wheel melt a hole in it? I wouldnt replace it unless it was really damaged. I had the same thing happen once.

Hmm, if it fell down, and then was ripped out, chances are it's trashed. But it's a part you want, for all the reasons Ciper mentioned.

Before you order a new one, maybe see if you can find a decent liner off a junked car? A pick n' pull type yard would be key for this, as I doubt very much a regular junkyard would have a good condition liner, or even be willing to pull one out...

I recall, from when I did the snorkus removal, that there's a bunch of different screws, bolts, and assorted fasteners holding the liner in. So bring an assortment of tools with you.

Good luck- Brian

i think i might just call the dealership tomorrow and see if they can get one. unfortunatily there are no pull'n pick places around here. I live outside DC and its pretty suburban for about 80 miles so that might be out of the question.

Tomorrow i will try and see if i can try to fit it back in there and rig it up.

thanx,

jeremy

The little crappy plastic screws that hold those on are pretty much one time use devices. I broke all of mine even being really careful in removing the plastic wheel liner.
