Wink BF -> BG exhaust, official info!

Ok, so I decided to go ahead and try putting my BF Fujitsubo exhaust on my new BG. Well, it mounts up perfectly, with 1 flaw. The tunneling is the same and everything(as to be expected on a same-chassis car). The difference is where the BF turbo downpipe comes and connects to the Fuji exhaust, is about 50ish degrees off(bolt holes) from the BG NA pipe.

So, I have to find a muffler shop to hack and weld my BF downpipe end onto my BG pipe.

BTW, boxer engines sound kind of nice when they have no muffler attached to them.. deep and throaty, and pretty loud too.

when i did my swap i put the exhaust from the 92 turbo sedan onto my 95 sedan, it was only 3 inches short on the mid pipe to down pipe, had it fixed for 20 bucks.

This is MAYBE 1/2 inch short. If the holes were correct, it's bolt right up. But yea, I'm gonna go find a shop to hack my '91 downpipe and and apply it to the '98 pipes.

Hey Speedwagon, I think you were behind me the other night coming onto the "compound". You remember a silver GT sedan in front of you?

Hmm... I think I do actually. I'll be a bit more prominent from the rear now with my 4" exhaust tip.. Was a few nights ago, IIRC?

I've seen a few Subaru's around on Meade/NSA, and looked as I passed. But generally they are 'normal' people, so I don't bother waving.

Sometimes I do wave and the people look at me like ***, so I didn't stick my hand out the other night. If I see that same green GT I'll wave, hopfully it's you.

Welp, she has a band-aid fix on her now. Did a bit of homemade welding, and all I hear now is the Fuji exhaust. And a much quicker rev too! But, in the next few weeks I'll probably have to have a shop do a more permanent fix for me. When it's not raining, I'll take some pics of the new exhaust on the car.
