Cool

Planning to buy an XT from your dealership soon and currently working on it with Rob. So far so good, he seem to be a nice and professional guy. Will keep you updated.

Thumbs down

I went in one day to look at a WRX. The saleslady was extremely pushy, to the point of me just getting fed up and walking out. She never answered my question re a test drive. All she ever talked about was how the WRX had a 6 speed transmission; but I would never get to use 6th on the street because that was going to be too fast.

Rude treatment by the sales staff will not earn my purchase at your dealership. I'd rather drive somewhere else than to go to Wilkin's Subaru.

Like said before, very rude and pushy sales staff.

When I was looking to buy in 2001, I stopped in. The sales manager was a dick, for not letting me test drive a WRX. He said I had to buy it without driving it first, so I left. I came back with my wife, again he said we could not test drive one, we left. I decided I wanted a TS, we went back and he told us he could not find a SRP TS anywhere. We left and went directly Annapolis Subaru and talked to Paul Singleton. Who let us drive a WRX and a TS. They had my TS in SRP and we left an hour later with it. I traded in my 99 Prelude on it.

My wife is looking to buy a Forester XT now. She stopped by and was treated with the same lack of respect as before by a pushy, rude sales staff. We went to Annapolis and spoke with Paul again. He offered us a test drive in a XT and said we could actually drive a new STI if we wanted. If I need anything, I will go back to Annapolis Subaru. They know how to treat customers.

So, the llama lady is gone? She wanted me to put a 3K deposit on a car so I could test drive it. I am not removing my money that's making money to test drive a car. She was a real high pressure sales person. I've never been treated like that.

It's nice to know you offer a discount on parts. I get a few % above dealer cost at Rich Morton for my other cars.

Stealthbmbr: I find Annapolis to have much more friendly car sales staff as well. I guess Glen Burnie is used to dealing with a different class of criminal, er customer.

I haven't really dealt much with the sales staff, but I will say that Jackie in parts is awesome . She special ordered a car cover for me at the NASIOC discount rate, and it arrived promptly as promised.

As for the aftermarket parts distributor, please say you are working with TurboXS

Personally I would never buy a car that I wasn't allowed to test drive so I really don't have any comments for that one.

All I can say is to talk to Robert Wensel or Frank Tilghman...they will treat you right.

As for me...I offer a basic discount of List -20% to all NASIOC members. I try to keep some sales and specials up in the Vendor For Sale forums and and Group Buy forums for you guys to check out.

I'm sorry that some of you have had bad experiences with us and I hope you will give us another chance to serve you better.

I bought my car from Frank last month and things couldn't have gone much smoother, or easier. I am usually on a very tight time schedule and he was able to work with that. We actually had to spread the purchase of the car out though the week because I didn't have the time to do it all in one sitting.

My only complaint to date is with the body shop customer service. I bought the car with a scratch in it and was to bring it in 2 AUG to have it fixed. Evidently their paint booth has been having problems, but nobody called me to let me know before I showed up there. Here I am almost two weeks later and will be dropping it off on monday to get it fixed this time.

Other than that minor detail I am pleased with Wilkins.

Wilkins subaru is amazing compared to Crabree Subaru in CT. I have done alot of service's there and they have always been on time and very nice. I also bought a cabin air filter from subaru parts girl and she gave me the nasioc discount. What other dealership would do that?!?!?

Unfortunately im moving to northern Baltimore and wilkins will be 30min away. The closest dealership is Heritage Subaru @ Owings Mills... I havent heard anything about them. Hopefully WIlkins didnt spoil me to much.

The only thing i wish that wilkins did was include the reports from the mechanics of how the inspection went of the clutch, brakes ets. I went in for a 15,000 mile service, and all that it said was that i got my oil changed. Would be nice if they wrote "clutch inspection went good, no problems found etc etc. Also possibly put a little sticker in the top left of the winshield after you get your oil changed that tells you when to come back in again. That would be nice ;-)

Very pleased.

i bought my 2.5RS from Wilkins back in June of this year.

i wonder if the lady i dealt with is the same one you guys are talking about? she did not know much of anything! she kept saying that i was buying a WRX and not a RS. i was getting pretty irritated with her. she was such a ding bat! i'm surprised she knew how to start the car once our sale was done! lol

however, for my service, I'll be takiing my car to Annapolis Subaru. it's much closer than glen burnie.

I live one mile from Heritage and drive 15-20 minutes to go to Russel Subaru on Route 40. Russel's service prices are significantly lower and I feel very comfortable that if they say something needs repair/replacement, it really does. My servce experience is based on my old 97 Impreza; I'll be taking my Rex in for an oil change tomorrow. Once my oil change took longer than they said it would and Russel ended up doing it for free to make up for the inconvenience. Also, I'm somewhat of a packrat and keep my old service flyers; believe it or not, they honor the old coupons (with lower prices) even though they have expired a long time ago.

I don't mean to bring an old post alive. I just thought that i should give some updated props to the Glen Burnie Scooby Dealership.

I have only delt with the parts department there, but i have had nothing but great service, great turn around time, and a Great discount just for dropping the NASIOC name. I live in Damascus and i have 2 Scooby dealerships closer to me then Glen Burnie, but i would rather drive the extra distance for the service i have gotten there.

Oh on a side not. Fitzgerald Subaru in Gaithersburg are a bunch of crooked ass mechanics. Their lead mechanic is just a slime ball, and they totally let me drive off the lot without bolts on my left rear brake caliper (which they never should have removed in the first place, since i was not having brake work done just a diagnostic) Halfway home i drifted into an intersection, almost hitting a MAC Truck, because my caliper came completely off the rotor. Please for your own good, never patronize Fitzgerald. Especially the 1 in Gaithersburg, MD.

There are so many dealerships in the area...

Fitzgerald
Herb Gordon
Russel
Annapolis (NASIOC Vendor)
Southern

That doesn't even crest on Baltimore or NoVa.
