A pal of mine who also has an SVX, but lurks here (yes I do mean YOU
) had one of his radiator fans go bad. While waiting for a replacement he disconnected the broken fan from the power supply. There was no descernable difference in engine operating temperature, although the fan did seem to come on an awful lot. After a week we were able to replace the broken fan. It takes longer to wait for the engine to cool down that it does to remove the fan. It is almost like a video card in the way it slides out- remove two bolts, pop a transmission hose out of a clamp on the bottom, pull up and out. Installation is reverse. Shouldn't take more then 10 minutes your first time, 3 minutes your second time. I'll try and get the fan, or pix there of from him, it would be neat if this was a part common to Nissans.
