Question high flowing "quiet" exhaust

I recently took the cats of my car because they wernt flowing enough. But since I took them off my car is now redecously loud. Would a high flow cat quiet it down at all? How about a stock wrx exhaust? I have a 5zigen cat back 2.25 cat replacment pipe and borla headers. Any input would be great.

Thanks
Dana

I'm not sure if APS maunufactors an exhaust for your car, but their WRX exhaus is quite nice. Deep rumble, but fairly quiet. No drone on the freeway etc.

The cats are what will keep it quiet. I have a Borla header, stock cats and Brullen quiet cat-back and a friend has TWE header, high-flo cat and the same Brullen and his car is a lot louder than mine.

I'm gonna purchase the 3" bosal exhaust from Rallispec sometime soon before I get my car running, it should be quieter than other exhausts. I'll know after my car runs again.

I have the GReddy EVO cat back on mine, with the Borla Gen.4 header and the Ludespeed Stage I kit (with the hi-flow cat) and I think the exhaust is super quiet. Only time it really wakes up is at WOT, otherwise, the a/c is louder...

Tats,

Do you have a resonator in there? I was going to go custom 3" with a Magnaflow and a resonator to keep things quiet.

That'd be awesome! As I haven't really heard a Magnaflow on a Subie yet. What size and type (race/street) is it?

Thanks,
Brian

My Brullen is nice and quiet. Specify the quiet version. Sound like newer BMW loudness. You know, Oem sports car loud.

It's your standard street muffler. 3" in and 3" out with a generic off the shelf tip welded to it.

Here's a couple of pics:

Here's an in car vid with the windows open. I probably could have made it smaller but I didn't want to comprimise the sound quality (2.8megs):

Magnaflow
