Default My silver/silver STi pictures...

Picked up my silver/silver STi last night... Going through the angst of break-in and shifting at 4000rpms. Here are some pics;

Nice!

Is that the stock turbo guage? Mine didn't come with one, how do you like it?

Where did you get the metal dead pedal?

Thanks.

That's a 45mm mechanical Omori boost gauge that I ordered from j-spectuning.com. The factory boost gauge is actually quite ugly and hard to read. This gauge just replaces the stock gauge, and matches really well (has a red needle/redbacklight). It does block the temperature readout, but I don't stare at that anyway.

I purchased the dead pedal from autospeedperformance.com.

Thanks,

So what boost levels have you been getting?

Also do you know if installing this gauge will void the warranty?

NICE car. . .

What kind of strut tower bar is that? Did you have to do a lot of manipulating to get in on correctly?

Thanks for all the compliments.

Zoso: The max boost that I've hit is ~5 psi, but I'm still in my break-in and only going up to ~4000 rpms. It shouldn't void your warranty to install it yourself, but if you want to be safe, you can have your local Subaru dealer install it.

subiefan: The strut bar is the STi replica. I bought it from ravspec.com, but you can also get them from gruppe-s.com. Once I removed the bracket holding the a/c line, the install was simple.

bert_WRX: The floor mats are from cc-b.com. They are a genuine Subaru part.

Nice car. I picked up mine a month ago. It WAS painful to keep it under 4000rpm for so long. I know how you feel! I'm finally broken in!!

P.S. I'm a newbie here and to the Subaru world. Hi everyone!!

Thumbs up

After seeing so many pics in the past months, the stealthiest STi would really be the silver/silver sticker less and wing less.

I like the silver/silver combo!

silver/silver becomes silver/gunmetal very quickly. I've never seen a car that puts out this much brake dust...Front and Rear. Fortunately, I like gunmetal

nice pictures.

Very nice. I like the silver/silver. I have silver/gold and it is too bling bling for me. I have a set of silvers in transit form the wheel swap thread. They should be here tomorrow.

Very nice! I really like the silver with the silver wheels, the blue is also nice with silver wheels. I guess i am not a big fan of the gold wheels.

Congratulations, Mike. So when are you going to put on those PFF7s?
I put Advan RCIIs on mine right after I got home.

Thanks, and congratulations to you too Walter! Post a picture of your car. Are you up for Life Plaza this Sun?

I'm actually considering selling the PFF7s, and buying the Prodrive GC-010s in British Black when/if they come out. But, we'll see... Here's the newest picture, after the headlight mod;
