Post rear wheel drive

Yup, that's what Robert and KevinL are cooking. Or I should say cooked. They converted KevinL's SVX into rear wheel drive. I got a ride in it tonight and lets just say, it's alot more fun.

Hearing the wheels spining is really cool.

Why?

Without AWD an SVX is a Toyota Soarer/CLK320/BMW 630/Infiniti M30 without the aftermarket support.

To dyno test perchance?

Ok here's the story My SVX used to be Aaron B's and the front Diff. ran out of gear oil which melted the speedometer gears and damaged the ring and pinion of the front diff. So i just replaced the speedo gears hoping it would last a while flash forward 2 months After getting the turbo install done I noticed under even the slightest load the diff would make noise showing it's wear. I was just messing around with Robert saying I wonder what A Rear wheel drive SVX would be like. So he had the idea of doing this project on my car which would. make the front diff problem no longer a issue. Also it will make trying different gear Ratios a cinch

oh we removed the Clutches which lock together to engage AWD and welded both shafts together to make it one solid shaft and we pulled the front CV's still leaving the outer cup to hold the bearings in. I would not recommend this conversion to a novice it was quite a task
