Leave me your e-mail and I will send you my address so you can send me a self addressed envolpe to ship them in.

I know everyone is going red but if you want blue come and get em.

I am thinking of changing to red. Where did you get the bulb condoms?

Thanks,

Default partsexpress

You can get the .2 inch "lamp covers" from www.partsexpress.com

They will be a little large but should work. If you are going with red you could use the sharpie pen trick (which doesn't work so well with blue)

Default All gone

All of my extras are now spoken for. If you did not recieve an email from me with an address to send an envelope then you where not in the first 8 to respond (I was only going to give out 5 bags but I decided to give out 8). If for some reason I do not get an envelope from any of the 8 then I will work my way down the list.

For those that want to order them they can be found at www.partsexpress.com I will post the part number later tonight. There is a thread already on the forum with a link posted. I think the thread was "my first mod".

You say that covers where too large - so what keeps them from slipping of the LED. And btw, doesn't blue backlight hard on the eyes - and how hard was it to replace covers behind cruise control button?

Default led covers

I have only changed the 3 ac controls and the key light ring. They fit ok if you slip them over the bulb holder itself. I think the blue is easier on the eyes. I also did my over head dome light in blue and I like it better than red.

Some day I plan on changing the front guage set but that isn't near as easy as the controlls.

I ordered some from partsexpress, but made the mistake of ordering .12 no .2

Are these going to work? I havent popped open the HVAC, figure I will order the larger ones if need be first.

thanks

Default I dont know

I don't know as I have not seen the .12 but I was wondering if they might not work better. The bulbs are actually the size of a medium led and I was thinking about checking out the .12 s to see if they are a closer fit.

Let us know what you find out.

I wouldn't be too worried about opening up the HVAC . It is way easy and I have done it 10 times or more messing with my radio. It is all snap in and there are no screws to remove. I start by opening the cup holder and gently popping the upper right corner with a screw driver. then I use my hand to work my way around clcok wise and the whole thing just pops out. Then to get the bulbs out all you have to do is use a small flat blade screwdriver and turn the X 1/4 turn and they just slide out.
