Default Mothers Paste Wax Vs Griot's Garage Paste Wax Round 1

Witch do you pefer. Griot's Garage is $19.99 and order only vs Mothers $14.95 you can get a pet boys. They bpth give you just about the same amount.

Mothers

If your paint has been cleaned, polished and glazed, or just needs a coat of wax, look to Mothers®. Your paint deserves the finest carnauba wax: Mothers® Natural Formula Pure Carnauba Wax. We've used a combination of high quality #1 yellow Brazilian carnauba and advanced chemistry to give you a distinct radiance with effortless application. Our Pure Carnauba Wax is straightforward, easy and non-abrasive. Take Mothers®' advice for an uncompromised shine.

Griots Garage

It's about as hard as a brick and needs petroleum distillates, mineral spirits, and other ingredients to make it soft enough to apply to your paint. You've seen other waxes advertised as "100% carnauba wax," but unless you are buying it in brick or chip form, it's just plain false advertising. Truth is, the maximum amount of carnauba that you can put in a paste wax is about 30%. We've put the maximum amount of the highest grade carnauba in Griot's Garage Carnauba Wax. You'll notice the ability to hide swirl marks and enhance paint color more than any other carnauba wax available. The high quality and content of our Carnauba Wax offers three to five months of protection. The pleasant scent enhances your waxing experience. Note, this is not a "cleaner wax." Use Paint Cleaning Clay or Fine Hand Polish before applying Carnauba Wax for correct surface cleaning.

Companies that advertise 100% carnauba in their wax aren't being truthful. The truth is, the maximum carnauba content of a quality carnauba wax is about 30%. Carnauba is rock hard, and to apply it easily to your paint's surface you need petroleum distillates and naphtha to make it workable. We push the envelope with 33% carnauba content

Thumbs up Griot's

I love the Griot's gear. I bought my big red jack from them - super wonderful. Plus, once you get on their mailing list, they send you a catalog full of neat toys once a month.

I'm a Griot's fan. I wasn't impressed with the Mother's stuff, when I tried it.

Yup, me too. Except I didn't use Griots thick Carnuba, only the "Best in Show" stuff, which goes on and off pretty easily. I didn't like mother's wax or clay (I like mothers mag pollish, though). Frankly, I like Blitz 1K just fine (on top of Klasse).

Thanks for the tip, Opie. I think I might have to put an order in to Griots, then. I was tempted to try some S100 next.
