Problem Installing CUSCO Front Strut Brace

I just received my CUSCO front strut brace from Cobb Tuning today, but it doesn't fit correctly. It looks as though there is a part of the a/c that is in the way on the passenger side next to the tower. How did you guys get around this problem?

Yeah, it get's pretty hot here in the summer. After driving around a '77 Nova with no a/c for four years, I told myself I wouldn't suffer without it anymore

took a litle finagling (sp?) on my bar (not a cusco), but i managed to get the end piece on the strut tower under the lines.

Could this be similar to the issues that WRX owners have? They take the AC line mount and flip it over to slightly lower the line.

try driving in houston in the summer with no ac - a bath towell get soaked in about 30 mins

Hmmm... that's weird. I've got the Cusco Type OS bar from Cobb. I don't remember having any clearance problems. Oh well, you got it on. Good deal.

Hmmm...I had no problems either.
But then again, Richeich and I have newer Legacies. Go figure.
I think you will really like it though. I have the same front STB and the CF rear.
Try to make sure the car is flat and level when you go to tighten things up. Keeps from getting a "tweek" built in.

No problem on my '97 either. In fact, I could see it would be a simple install so I had my 12-year old do it as a learning exercise. I showed him how to use the torque wrench on the first nut, then watched him do the rest.

Cool, I only have 4 more years before I put mine to work. Yippee.

Actually, both kids have helped with several jobs. Like engine and trans swaps.
