Default So does the sti come with the datadots, ne one know??

I read about it on the subaru austrailia site. It says that all 2004 imprezas will get this security feature(in austrailia at least). Ne one know if we get it over here?? So see what I'm talking about go here:

My STi didn't come with those, but it did come with the VIN # etched in all the windows.

I didn't get a VIN etched in the window, its something different, called an Etch code.

I'm calling my dealer tomorrow about that, and I'll have more information about it.

I believe Datadots is an Aussie invention and currently its only application to Subarus is by the independent Subaru importer for Australia and New Zealand (Inchcape).

In the U.S., Imprezas and Foresters are not subject to the VIN-marking requirements of NHTSA's Theft Prevention Standards. However, Subarus exceed NHTSA standards in many areas and the STi may, in fact, have its main body parts marked.
