I'd just go ahead and post the pics here, but cannot due to the way our server is up. So just made a quickie, click on photos for bigger pictures.
http://www.apexjapan.com/news/avo_ty...avo_typec.html The scariest thing about this guy is that he's sunk roughly 60 grand (yes, on top of the price of the car) to get it to do 1'04 second laps at tsukuba circuit - roughly the same time a professional driver will do in a stock STi Type C RA. Ross put it best, you can spend a lot of money on the car, or you can spend a bit of money on learning to be a better driver. You'll get far more from option no.2 in terms of investment returns... Cheers, Paul Hansen

Paul, thanks for the article. However:
Quote:
I've decided that going to 255s isn't worth the hassle for me (besides, it probably wouldn't help me much anyway). 225, 235, or 245, probably on a 17x8 rim, maybe a 17x8.5 if they fit right. Some people are pushing for an 18x8 as a better choice, but I've heard smaller was better most of the time (track use, ignoring looks). I'll ask around at the autocross school in a few weeks, and get the car measured by Fikse to see which of their wheels fit. |

Oh, I wouldn't call that an article - I would have just posted it here, but the admin has a funky setup on our server.
I've seen wilder, yes, but not on many Japanese cars (clarification: in Japan). This was the first Type C, and I had the digital camera, so the rest of history... Cheers, Paul Hansen |
